OK, I’m a retired IT Engineer so perhaps things are more intuitive for me… but I have to say this is the BEST transfer App I have found and I’ve tried several others. It works flawlessly between my iPad, iMac, iPhone and Powerbook Pro. It keeps getting better with each update. The design of the App is well thought out and easy to use. The latest version even allows for deleting photos off the phone (after you transfer them of course) and it deletes by pages as does the transfers. I cannot speak to other than Apple products, but if you do have Apple products, you won’t be disappointed.
App opens, then immediately crashes. Unusable.
UPDATE: August 5, 2015 Well, today it is not working at all, please fix as this was the best app…. I was a little concerned as some say it doesn’t work or crashes but I updated and it seems to be working perfectly on iPhone6Plus and MiniMac. Highly recommended...
Wow, this app works and works well. Drag and drop from ipad and iphone to my desk top (or reverse). Quick, simple and easy. Select all files, some files, one file. Select by type, that is, movie, photo, panorama, burst file, whatever that is in your camera roll. Quick transfer over my home wifi, i did not try bluetooth yet. A 10 out of 10. Money well spent!!! :-)
When Airdrop came around, I didn’t use this app as much but with Airdrop pretty much broken, I’ve found this app to be fairly reliable so far.
Working great so far. Went looking for an app like this to move a 2 minute video clip that was too big to email to myself.
I needed an easy way to transfer photos I take in the field to my iMac when I get back to the office for reports. This app works like a charm, requiring minimum instruction.
Finally an app that makes it easy to copy photos/videos from my iPhone to another device or MacBook. People, if you’re shooting 4k video with that new iPhone 6s, you know those video files are going to get huge. This app makes it a snap. Thanks!!!
FIxed all my problems since I didn’t back up my version of iPhoto. Super easy.
With the free version all you can do is view the photos and videos on your device and thats it! WIthout buying the full version you literatly can’t do anything. Unless you’re buying, dont waste your time.
Running the latest version on my iPhone iOS 9 and on my MAc running 10.11.2. I had not used the app for a few weeks. It no longer transfers files to my iPhone. I get a cocoa error -1.
The ability (or lack thereof) to manage photos on iOS devices in a serious, user-controlled way has always been a deal breaker for professional photographers. This app tries to fill this gap but does it poorly. You can only transfer images over WIFi, even if the iPad is directly connected to the computer, which makes it slow and inefficient. There are frequent errors/crashes during transfers and the GUI (in Mac OS) is a pain to use.
The app works well but for managing photos on a device it needs work. Currently all photos are viewed in folders by “Moment”. It would be nice to have various ways of sorting based on Name, Date Created, Modified etc . Just like any other Mac app.
Works just as I expected.
This thing will not transfer images between 2 Computers! If you’re in an office environment or at home, running 2 iMacs for instance, you can’t transfer photos! Ridiculous!!! I’m giving it 2 stars because they forgot to include this basic and essential feature! Sorry boys, WAKE UP!
THIS APP SAVED MY LIFE!! After I had to restore my iPod because it was having problems, I looked up some ways to get my photos back, and this app helped me! Although I had to pay on my iPod, as long as I get my photos back, the price doesn’t matter! I highly recommend!
I had to install the pro version of the Photo Transfer App because the free version would not work. (I wonder if this is how they get you to pay money for it.) It was only $2.99, but times that by a thousand and see how much that is. Wow! Anyway the real reason I am writing this review is that on the free version and the pro version it kept loosing the connection. Not as much with the pro version, but why is it happening at all? Otherwise it does what it says it does and it does it very fast and well. I got my photos from my Samsung Galaxy S5 to my mac desktop computer, which is very old. Like 9 years old. I know, its time for a new one. I do keep up with all the upgrades and updates that I need to keep it going and I delete some of the applications that I don’t use. Ok, back to the photo transfer app. It is worth it to pay the $2.99 if you have to. It is a great app so don’t hesitate to get it on your phone and/or computer, no matter what you have or how old it is. I say get it, it makes your life so much easier. Best wishes to all and good luck!
Worked great on my computer. Apple drops the ball and doesn’t make it easy to transfer specific ALBUMS from iphone to computer BUT this APP makes it super easy. I have fast WIFI so its really fast transfers. Slow WIFI would probably be painful. This App rules. Finally something easy to use. Note: Once I got it all set up, it didn’t work, so I had to click out of the app then re-open. Ever since no issues.
So practical. The new app extension is phenomenal! Makes it so easy to send photos from Finder directly to the device.
